Background Music System is a music playback system that plays background music, usually via a distributed public address system. It includes the element of zoning, so volume levels are suitable for each environment.
The simple BGM system is meant to be a plug and play solution for any type of venue that requires Background Music to liven up and create ambiance in the room. The design includes a basic yet comprehensive solution that allows the user to setup and play any music he or she wishes. The system also allows for paging announcements, this functionality pauses the music when an announcement is made through the microphone.
A background music system would commonly consist of flush mount, surface mount and/or pendant mount speakers. Depending on the brand specified and the fixtures, any combination of these speakers can be used. Not only is a background music system for music or media playback, with the right quality and capability of speakers, the system can also be used as a paging / public address system (PA system).
The system configured has three main sources which are an iPad/PC for streaming music, the multimedia player and the paging microphone. These sources are connected using a amplifier which links the inputs of the sources and amplifies the sounds out of the ceiling speakers. The ceiling speakers can be flushed into the false ceiling or hung in an open environment with a kit .
